Description:

Shimmy and shake your way to a new kind of storytime the whole family will enjoy. Adults are encouraged to participate with their young children to model concepts including following directions, rhyme and rhythm and creative play. Each month we will have a new theme. Our theme for October is fall.

ROOM CLOSURE

Library meeting rooms will be closed during the months of January and February 2018 for the preparation and exhibit of World War I and America. The meeting rooms will reopen for general use on Wednesday, March 7, 2018.

Meeting Rooms & Friends Cafe

Within the library there are two meeting rooms on the lower level and a Friends Cafe on the main floor. The two meeting rooms (A and B) can be reserved and used by individuals, groups, businesses and organizations interested in hosting a meeting or event at the library. Meeting Room B is attached to a functioning kitchen. The Friends Cafe is perfect for small meetings of book clubs or other groups interested in a cozy gathering.

Use of the rooms is free for non-profit groups, but commercial entities will be charged a fee of $50 per room and $25 for the use of the kitchen, established by the library's Board of Trustees. All library programs will be given prioity over outside events or programs. Please contact Colleen Sandusky (csandusky@loudonvillelibrary.org) for the rooms' availability.

Friday - Saturday 10:00 am - 5:30 pm


Room A maximum occupancy: 157 (standing or chairs only)
Room B maximum occupancy: 188 (standing or chairs only)
Combined: 345

All users of the meeting rooms must fill out a Meeting Room Request And Agreement and all meetings are subject to the guidelines put forth in the library's Meeting Room Policy and Private Event Policy. You will find additional information about equipment available for your meeting and other details within these documents.

Community Room Images

The first two photos are of the hall and lobby. The next two are of the kitchen that is available to anyone using the rooms. Then there are two photos of Room B which connects to the kitchen and two photos of Room A which is at the end of the hall. The final photo is of both rooms opened up into one.

Available Equipment

There is a variety of equipment that is available to groups and individuals using the library community rooms.

Each room is equipped with an overhead projector with speakers
  HDMI and VGA/audio cables as well as remote controls are available and must be checked out at the circulation desk
  Connections for the projectors are located in the wall
24 six foot tables that are shared between both rooms
100 blue chairs that are shared between both rooms. There are more available if needed
Handheld and lapel microphone (must schedule use with library staff)
Blu-ray/DVD player
Podium
2 easels
Large whiteboard

Kitchen has a variety of equipment available for use

Please remember that it is the users responsibility to clean up and return all equipment to its place when done using any or all of the rooms.
